Post Metron North Hudson Line Towns

My wife and I are finally getting used to the idea of moving to a house.
I reside on a condo right on the Hudson (NJ side) and would like to get a house on the Hudson line.
We have a daugher that would be going to school next year and frankly she's the only reason we're moving.
I am looking at towns like Tarrytown, Dobbsferry but do not have a clear idea on the quality of their schools and if they have good sport programs( my daugher loves swimming)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Alban
