Any recommendations for a good Italian restaurant in Southern Westchester? Are there any new ones in the area?

I guess there isn't one. I've searched myself but have not found one.

Il Sogno - which is in an odd location in Port Chester (next to a gas station!) and which also tends to attract a more senior crowd, is suprisingly good. In fact, the food is very good.

la Scarbitta in Mamaroneck is fine, but inconsistent.

Mulino's in White Plains is very popular among the county elites and local celebs. A new place Pranzi, also in White Plains (City Center) is very good as well and gets rave reviews.

Polpettina in Tuckahoe, but be prepared to sit very close to the other 2 tables in the restaurant. If WP isn't too far, Serafinas.

Buona Sera is really nice, also Rosie's in Bronxville, around the corner from Lawrence Hospital.
