We are relocating to NY and have looked at many houses (rental). I am curious about the North White Plains area. How is the train station? Is parking at the train station in high demand as elsewhere? How is the neighborhood in general? Is it family friendly. I've seen lots of info on this forum about White Plains, but it seems to be more focused on the downtown area. We are relocating from the Midwest and White Plains seems like a good fit for us. I'll be commuting to midtown Manhattan daily. Any thoughts on the area would be much appreciated!

North White Plains is nice, but the schools in White Plains are not as good (classes offered/SAT scores) as some other Westchester towns. The train station is in big demand. White Plains is growing at a fast pace so it is starting to get congested. I work there and I am really getting tired of driving through it.

Some parts of North White Plains have the Valhalla School District, tell your realtor that you want Valhalla Schools. They are better than White Plains schools.
