We are moving to Pound Ridge and were curious about how we pay for garbage collection and recycling and how often pick up for these is. Does this get included in the already exhorbitant taxes or is it a separate charge?
We use County Waste. The company recently took over Suburban Carting. Since the service is good, I don't have reason to call them. The old number was 914-698-4300, it may still be the same. We pay $120 every two months, which includes a surcharge to have the truck come up the long driveway rather than pick up at the road. They pick up trash every week (early...7:30ish), alternating weeks for recyclables, 1 week plastics/cans/glass and the next paper/cardboard. Hope this info helps.
