Scarsdale Schools
No realtors, please. Can anyone help explain the differences between the school districts in Scarsdale? Are there any that should be avoided?

Not a chance. Maybe the best school district in the entire country. Can't go wrong.

What about Eastchester? Can you have a Scarsdale PO and go to Eastchester?

You can have a Scarsdale P.O. and go to many different schools, including New Rochelle, Yonkers, Eastchester, Edgemont, Ardsley and of course Scarsdale.
Scarsdale/Edgemont/Ardsley......about as good as it gets.
Eastchester is good.
Yonkers/New Rochelle......don't even think about it.

I agree with the previous poster.
Scarsdale, Ardsley, and Edgemont are all great schools.
My personal experience was that Scarsdale schools put more pressure on the kids. Personally, I like that Edgemont is a small district.
Eastchester is fine by Westchester standards, but nothing to write home about. New Rochelle is a step above Yonkers, but I would not send my kids to either.

Scarsdale schools
dt817, were you originally asking about the different elementary school neighborhoods within Scarsdale? Edgewood vs. Greenacres vs. Heathcote vs. Quaker Ridge vs. Fox Meadow? If that was your meaning, then I'd say the only thing to consider would be how far you might want to be from the train station, if you need to think about commuting. Parts of Edgewood and Fox Meadow are within walking distance (if you like to walk.) Some neighborhoods are also on a bus line which takes commuters down to the Village. Parking can be very expensive and scarce, so this is something to bear in mind.
Oh, if you have elementary-school-aged kids, you might also consider whether you'd like them to be able to walk to school. Theoretically, all of the schools are designed to be walked to (there's no busing to elementary schools unless you arrange for it privately), but some are easier/safer to walk to than others.
Otherwise, I think all of the neighborhoods are nice. Some have older homes on smaller lots (Arthur Manor is part of Edgewood and probably has the smallest--and most "affordable"--homes) while others have more 50s/60s ranch houses or grand estates on lots of land.

When you do a search for a home in Scarsdale, make sure you search by school district. As someone said, you can have a home in Scarsdale that may be in the Edgemont, Eastchester, New Rochelle, Yonkers or Ardsley school district. If you are bent on a home with Scarsdale schools, just make sure you check the school district.
As others have said, can't go wrong with any of the schools in the Scarsdale school district. While there may be pressure, they are top when it comes to SAT scores, parent involvment, student to teacher ratio and student per capita etc etc. Homes in the Scarsdale and Edgement school districts tend to be more expensice.
I would stay away from Yonkers and New Rochelle schools.

I live in the Eastchester School District and I think the schools ARE something to write home about. Great teachers (for the most part), a great administration and a great school board. SAT scores are lower than Scarsdale/Edgemont/Ardsley because we have more economic diversity, not because the programs are lousy. The valedictorian went to Harvard last year.
As for New Rochelle, I know many people who send their kids their and they are thrilled. This is a big city school district with blacks, whites, Hispanics, very rich, rich, middle-class, poor and very poor. SAT scores are dragged down by the kids who come from poor families and are inherently disadvantaged, not because the programs are lousy.
If you are superficicial enought to think think that SAT scores are the best way to judge a school, fine. Then choose Bronxville, Scarsdale, Edgemont or Chappaqua. Coincidentally, these happen to be the richest and least diverse districts in Westchester.
