We're leaving the big apple for New Rochelle (living the Dick Van Dyke Show dream!) and looking for a great preschool for our 2 year old. Can anyone make recommendations based on their own children's attendance at any of the many preschools that are in and around New Rochelle/Lower Westchester? She's been at a Montessori in city and loves it. We'd love to continue with a child-focused program that fosters independence.
A good friend's daughter attends Hudson Country Montessori in New Rochelle and likes it a lot. If you are open to non-Montessori schools, I am a teacher at Larchmont Temple Nursery School and the 2s program is wonderful. it's a half day program and is child-centered, play based program
