I will be moving to Westchester next month. I will be working in White Plains. My fiance recently got offered a position in Central Jersey. I was wondering if it would be possible to live somewhere in North Jersey and commute to White Plains daily? Or am I better off residing in Westchester?
I think you are better off living in Westchester and driving to Jersey as traffic on the GWB coming into NY in the AM and going to NJ in the PM is pretty nightmarish. I have to imagine that traffic going in the opposite direction isn't so bad. At least it doesn't look so bad when I drive to NYC in the morning. I notice that the routes going across the bridge are generally less trafficked than where I'm sitting. Hopefully someone with real experience commuting from Westchester to Jersey can chime in.
