So now, with all of this happening, this will bring down ratings of their schools, and then property values... Not saying that kids from section 8 families are bad kids. However, there is a high correlation between crime rates/school ratings and people on section 8/welfare. Also Larchmont/Mamaroneck has a lot of buildings, a lot more than Scarsdale or Bronxville.

You seem to have some sort of weird fixation with Mamaroneck just because it was mentioned as a throwaway example in the article. Bronxville, while small in size, has a huge number of rental units as a percentage of its properties. Don't you think the impact would be greater there than elsewhere? And non-Asian diversity in Scarsdale is very low compared to already non-Asian assimilated diversity communities in Mamaroneck. Don't you think that would have a bigger impact on schools?

Trolling monomania.
Agreed. Get off the Mamaroneck thing already. And if this program were ever to happen, it would be on a very small scale, and it would be spread throughout Westchester.
What are you talking about? It's happening right now. Go to Google, type in HUD and Westchester County, there's a ton of news articles.
The ongoing HUD lawsuit and settlement with Westchester goes back to 2009. But the Section 8 proposed increase in voucher amounts is different, and has not yet been implemented.

That's because it's not set to be enacted until October 2016. The problem is HUD and the Obama administration have decided that Westchester County is too white and too wealthy and needs federal intervention to make them more diverse. They essentially plan to forcibly resettle Section 8 families
living in the urban areas of NY into Westchester. How can this possibly work positively for anyone?

Right after they take over Texas with Jade Helm and force everyone into Fema Death Camos.
No, but he's bastardizing it. There was never the intent to give poor people the right to live in high-end rental apartment buildings in higher-income communities. A total farce.
"At the same time, he intends to reduce subsidies for those who choose to stay in housing in poor urban areas, such as Brooklyn. So Section 8 tenants won’t just be pulled to the suburbs, they’ll be pushed there."
So great. It will finally free up more housing supply in NYC for professionals to afford and more into, while at the same time being closer to work. The trash then gets pushed out and dumped somewhere else where there is less political clout. Those towers in the LES and along South Street would be nice homestead for good families to move into.
