Hi,

I'll move to and live in White Plains and work in West Nyack. I need to commute everyday. Commonly, is there sever traffic problem in this trip plan?

I know Tappan Zee Bridge has new construction project ongoing. How is the construction affect daily commute from West Chester side to West Nyack?

Thanks a lot,

I do not commute over the tappan z, however, my inlaws live in rockland and commute to Westchester for work. Sorry to tell you but it is a nightmare. They actually started looking to move to Westchester to avoid the traffic.

Reverse commute is rarely an issue but once in a while, let's say once a year, some issue on the bridge will snarl traffic.

The reverse commute shouldn't be too bad. The heavy traffic will be going the other way.

My wife used to do that commute. It wasn't bad. Going against traffic both ways.

The new bridge is under construction. Let's hope that after being completed, commute will change for the better.

The reverse commute is not bad at all.

My husband did the reverse commute to NJ across the Tappan Zee for many years. The previous poster is correct - normally it's fine, however a couple of times each year there would be a nightmare commute.
