Hey guys,

After living in Queens for quite a while, I've decided that I might want to look upstate since it includes a lot of elements that best fit my lifestyle such as kayaking, hiking, camping, fishing etc.

Although this area best suits my hobbies and needs, I also do prefer to be able to have Asian food as an option. I just wanted to ask where most Asians tend to move to that won't break the bank? I work in NYC and can switch offices in any borough every few years so I'd prefer somewhere that won't be a horrible commute.

Also, are there any areas that have a decent nightlife as well? Perhaps a few friendly bars or village type areas? I'm 30 years old and single.

Thanks!

Asians are scattered around Westchester County. This is not like Nassau County, where there are communities that have a huge percentage of Asians. I think the reason for this is there has never been a Chinatown in the Bronx, while Asians in Flushing will naturally migrate to Nassau County.

Anyway, you will be welcome anywhere.

There is a large H-Mart on Central Park Avenue in Hartsdale. I mean LARGE.

Nightlife is scattered around, but there are more bars and restaurants in White Plains. For a 30-year-old, I would suggest White Plains.

Look for a school district that offers Mandarin, which would indicate a concentration of East Asian immigrants. Eastchester comes to mind.
