I have an older Samsung CRT TV (42") in my basement that is in good, working condition, with original remote, etc.

I want to get rid of it but not sure how. My main issue is finding a way to get it up the stairs and outside, as it has got to be well over 100 lbs. Does anyone know any services or charities that pick up things like this?

Thanks,
H

Many charities will not take old tube TVs anymore, especially ones that weigh that much. Best Buy will take any TV to recycle it, but you have to get it there. You might want to see if a college kid can move it to Best Buy for you and give them $20. Good luck.

I would post on a site like Craigslist or Nextdoor for something like that and yea offer 20-40 bucks. I found out recently that non-flat screen TVs are almost completely worthless, even for charity. Depending on what town you live in they probably have a specific day of the month where they accept TVs for trash.
