I live in Westchester about 10/15 minutes from the Tappan Zee bridge, and am wondering how commuting to somewhere in Central NJ is (say Parsippany, Summit, etc.)?
I had always considered FAR Northern NJ (near the Tappan Zee bridge) to be as far into NJ as I'd go (taking the GWB is out, as is commuting via Metro North, Subway, and PATH train to Jersey City - been there, done that, hate it!).

Reverse commuting? From WC to NJ at 9ish is fine. Easy peasy, but every once in a year something happens on the bridge that makes it a nightmare. But your reverse commute will be in the 3/4 hour-hour range.
