Default Need advice sick of the city!

I need advice I am sick of the city(Bronx) and I would love to move in or around the Westchester or Rockland area. Does anyone know of any affordable apartment complexes in these areas? I work in New Rochelle so if there are some There it would be ideal.

The only 'affordable' housing in Westchester or Rockland are in the few unsafe areas like South Yonkers, Mount Vernon or the bad part of New Rochelle.

Be prepared to spend $2,000 a month or more on rent in any decent part of Westchester or Rockland. Don't even consider buying unless you can afford a house payment of $5,000 a month..

Why anyone would want to live in most of Westchester or Rockland is beyond me. It is like Long Island in attitude but with nicer scenery..

Have you considered Danbury, CT. It is just across the state line from Brewster. You can find mid range rentals for about $1200 for a 750 square foot 1 bedroom in a nice complex or about $1500 for an Avalon Bay type community. Lower range rentals are about $850 a month for about a 450 square foot studio, but I'm not thrilled about the complex or the features of the apartment.

Do you do anything but post nonsense about how terrible and unaffordable the NYC metro is? What's the deal with you? What happened? Did you get foreclosed on and had to move to Ohio or something?
