Default Parking Bronxville/Yonkers area

I wondering what people's experiences are finding street parking on the Yonkers - Palmer Ave. side of Bronxville. How difficult is parking? I see some permit only parking - is this general Yonkers permits, or building permits? Are there any close paid parking garage options? Many buildings do not seem to have parking (at least available for a while).

Thanks!
Sarah

I believe there are a few places along Palmer that you can park. It's kinda tricky because it goes from apartment buildings to homes and in some spots you can't park just becaus the road won't allow that.

I am a little here. What are your concerns? Where do you live? Why would you want to park along Palmer? Is it because of work?

Actually, I'm looking to move into the area soon, and I'm trying to decide how important a guaranteed parking space will be in the hunt. It seems like even the buildings with parking have a long wait list for it...

I live in the area. The permits are issued by Yonkers and you need one to park in non-meter spots during certian hours, mainly the parking is on Parkview which goes behind the buildings on Palmer and on someside roads off of Pondfield West. There are a few lots in the area, I don't know the details of them. We've been here for 5 years, finding a spot has never really been an issue, unless it is late at night or early in the morning on the weekend. It really depends on how often you use your car. The area is great b/c it's so close to the train, you may find that you don't use your car that much.

There are some municipal lots around Bronxville, but not many. The parking can be quite difficult.

All the best!
