Default Help with Donating Furniture with Free Pick Up

I live in Monsey and I have an old solid wood bedroom set that I cannot seem to give away. I'd hate to just put it by the curb to go into a landfill somewhere. Does anyone know of an organization that will pick up this furniture and put it to a good use? Thanks!

The salvation army does - I am in the process of emptying my house and it's very hard to find places that come and pick up household items. Furniture seems to be all they will come and pickup (in my area anyway) - good luck

Default Freecycle

Try Freecycle--it's great--you join the group and then you can post about whatever it is you have to give away. I have used it several times and never had any problems.
Here's a link:

Post on Craigslist and say you are willing to give it away. Believe me, you will get calls. This is how I got rid of the majority of furniture when I moved.

The problem with Salvation Army is they want stuff in perfect condition because they try to sell it. Its ridiculous.
