I don't think New Rochelle schools are consistently good at all grades. I lived in white plains..
also mixed school quality. Hope this helps.
I agree that Pelham would be a very good suggestion as well. The district includes both an affluent area (called Pelham Manor) as well as a middle class area. The middle class area, which is mostly the area north of the Metro-North station, is very diverse; there are about three blocks or so that are heavily African-American, and the entire neighborhood has a growing Hispanic population.

It seems like the southern portion of the Valhalla SD may work too: Census Block Group 010902-2 in Westchester County, New York

I lived in Valhalla from 1998 through 2001. Those demographics suggest that the area has changed a lot in the last decade and a half.

I'm wondering those areas are considered to be northern White Plains and/or Elmsford? It mentions that parts of those communities are in the Valhalla SD. Here is a census tract that seems to be at least partially in the Valhalla SD: Census Tract 010902 in Westchester County, New York

Yes, the Valhalla SD includes the hamlet of North White Plains and a large area of the unincorporated part of the town of Greenburgh. (I'd forgotten about that.) Elmsford, a village in the town of Greenburgh, has its own SD.
