When I was a kid in the 1960s, I occasionally bowled in the area that is being mentioned but the lanes at the time were not called OPG. Can't remember what they were called. If I recall correctly, the states' border was pretty much down the center of the lanes. So if you were on lane 7 as an example and your friend was on lane 8, you'd be in different states. But it was a very long time ago so I'm not sure how accurate my memory is and I generally bowled at another bowling alley on Ridge St. Moved from PC in 1966, still have fond memories.

I am the younger brother of the lead singer george chase who died in that tragic fire in gullivers in 1974,along with 23 other young people who also passed away at such a young age. Even now i still mourn my big brothers passsing, always thinking about that last day i spent with him, walking along the Grand Concourse from my sister Rose's apartment on Sheridan Ave in the Bronx on our way to our moms apartment in the Patterson Projects. I was only eleven years old at the time, but its stilll so fresh in my mind till this day,and so clear, that wonderful walk down the Concourse with my big brother Georgie. I had no idea that that day, that moment,i was never going hear his voice, see his face, hear his laughter ever again, and its something that still haunts me because George was 13 years older than me and i was just getting to know him. He had moved out of my parents home and was on his on traveling with his band so i never really got to see him that much, so to read about him in these articles and hear about what he and everyone else went through that horrific night in '74 still pains me deeply.
