Hi all we don’t really have a town pool where we live. I was wondering what beach/pool clubs in the area cost. I know it’s quite a range. Which ones are family friendly ? Looking in Mamaroneck/Larchmont.
American Yacht Club is in Rye. Mamaroneck has Orienta Yacht and Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club.
Larchmont has Larchmont Yacht Club. Larchmont is its own village, and the kids who live there attended Mamaroneck School District, unless they attend private schools.
I can’t really speak as to how expensive each one is. I just know people who have had events there and they said they are all pretty well kept and maintained.
Hommocks Middle School has a pool. I am not sure if it’s open to the public or residents.
Mamaroneck has Orienta Beach Club and Beach Point Club. There's also Bonnie Briar country club. No idea on cost.
You can buy a season pass to the beach at Harbor Island Park (no pool) for about $300 for the whole family.
Yes, the town has a pool at Hommocks Middle School. The main pool is indoors though. It's more used for swimming laps than hanging out, but gets used year-round. There's also a nice outdoor pool but it's shallow (3-4 feet?). It's great for small kids. Lots of people lounge in the lawn by that pool while their kids play. I believe it costs about $500-600 per year for the family.
You can also join Rye Golf Club, which is owned by the town of Rye but open to all. The cost is about $3,500 for non-Rye residents.
