Default Question about Yonkers
Hello everyone!
I have been reading these forums for some time, but unfortunately I haven't registered until now. I am looking at a co-op in Southwest Yonkers, specifically at 385 McLean Ave. just west of the Saw Mill Parkway. Now I've heard some not so nice things about Southwest Yonkers. Can anyone give me advice on this area?

Talk to the neighbors, go there between 6 and 7 pm and talk to people.

That's a great way to get a feel for the area.

Stay away from the area. Not so nice neighborhood. Constantly cops there on calls.

If you really want a crime breakdown, contacted the Yonkers PD a 377-7900, Records Division and ask them about getting a crime report.

I dont know the exact area, but near the Saw Mill is generally not great. its very industrial.
