Hi all. I’d like to know a little more about this area and the school district. I realize the area is far from the middle/high school. Given there’s buses , hoping it won’t be too much of an issue.
They do share the same schools as Harrison Proper & Purchase, however, the big issue that kept us away from there was with school activities, be prepared for lots of driving for your kids. Not just events at the Middle School, High School & Purchase Elementary School. Driving to and from friend's houses, etc. It's 7-9 miles to the middle school and high school and ~4 miles to Purchase Elementary.
If you have to commute to the city, that's a 4-5 mile drive to North White Plains or White Plains train stations.
Otherwise, the schools are good and you get a lot more bang for your buck there (mostly 4k-6k SF houses built in the early 2000s).
Anyone else on this area with young kids? Where do moms go for children’s activities etc?
