Moving to Wappinger Falls (Roosevelt: to live, shopping mall, metro)

Hi. I am a young African American female moving to Wappinger Falls with my husband who by the way is caucasian. Will we be accepted? Are there any minorities in this town? And what is there to do in Wappinger Falls? We are moving from Long Island where one of the biggest shopping malls in the country, Roosevelt Field, is only 15 minutes away. I would really love some feedback. Thanx

I could be wrong, but I don't think Wappinger Falls is in Westchester. That may be why you have not gotten any responses. I've driven through there a few times and it looks lovely although a bit rural. Good luck.

Wappingers falls is in Dutchess county,Im also interested in the area,it is rural but there is allot of shopping stores and the metro north is there if you ever want to get away to the city for the day out.It seems to me some development going on out there so I believe it getting more polulated.Also being so far from the city it still is expensive to live up there.I looked a 1 bedroom and was still $1000.
