Default Affordable Westchester ????
Hi,

I know Westchester County is a pretty wealthy regio-but are there any afforable sections ? By affordable I mean like 2 bedrooms for 1200, or so.

Please let me know. Thanks

maybe in yonkers, mt vernon, or new rochelle but its not gonna be that easy to find....ur better off going to the bronx u can find a lot of 2 bedroom for 1200

You're not going to find a nice 2BR for that price. One bedroom in White Plains is about $1500. And the farther north you go the more affordable it will be.

It depends on what city in Westchester county you are looking to move to. In Norther Westchester, there is no way you'll find that, but in Southern Westchester You have a better chance. I live in Yonkers and pay 1100/mth for a 3 bdr but the neighborhood isn't that great.

I found Peekskill to be affordable. It has its ups and downs, but it is not a bad commute (1 hour), and it has a thriving artistic community.
