I've recently switched lines on Metro-North from the New Haven to Hudson line. I had found the bar car that is on some of the evening trains on the New Haven line to be a fun change of pace. Anyone have any idea why there are no bar cars on the Hudson line?
The only MetroNorth line with bar cars is the New Haven Line, and it's because of the State of Connecticut. The bar cars were phased out years ago on the Harlem and Hudson line trains. In fact, I think Connecticut is committed to buy new bar cars for the New Haven Line.
