Basically avoid the Bronx, Mt Vernon, New Rochelle, most of Yonkers, and Port Chester and you should be fine.



Said they wanted to be away from gangs. Throggs neck is nice but that would mean kid has to go to Lehman High. There is gang violence there. A 15 year old girl there just got charged in two murders.

Ok, thanks DITC i will research the schools in those areas, as well as the distance from the area that i will be working in.

well, i am in new york ..the job is wonderful, however still actively seeking a place to live. I did see some affordable places in ossining but i think it may be too far. I am also seeking schools for my son
