Hastings is a nice community. Mostly families w a variety of school-aged kids. Very walkable. The schools are very good and fit the bill for the majority of kids. A wee bit cliquish so if you don't know anyone, it may be hard to mingle.
The Riverton lofts look awesome but seem reeediculously expensive.
