Called the Village, and was told there is a long waiting list for parking permits. (Something like 350 applicants waiting).

Was also told there is significant amount of available daily non-permit parking, for $6 per day.
Anybody have any experience with the lot.... Is there really ample non-permit parking, between 7:30-8:00 a.m.?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, if you're there by around 8:00 you should not have any trouble getting a daily parking spot. I get there at aprox 8:10 and the daily parking is never full yet. There is always room in the non-resident permit area too, which is where I park.

But not for the next "8 to 10 weeks," during which time Croton is repairing the parts of the lots that flood every month due to the rising tides from the Croton River. That will evidently require closing 1/2 of the non-resident and a huge part of the daily lots, as well as some of the resident lot. There will be parking at Croton Point and Van Cortlandt Manor, with shuttle buses. Should be a real nightmare.
