It's simple. Making a window is the easiest thing to do. You can do it yourself. Even a load bearing wall, just make sure the window stays below the header which should be 2x10. So the top of your window should start 15 inches below the ceiling.
Make an outline of where you want the window.
Take a hammer (NOT A SAW) and start breaking the sheetrock within your guidelines.
Before hitting the next piece, try to take a look inside the bay.
Wires are easier to re-route than pipes. If there's pipes then it'll cost you more than you think.
