Deck Sticker Shock Question
Hello,
this is a construction question that I am hoping to get a local - westchester perspective for:
I am looking to have a deck buildt my home in northern westchester. It is a square deck, nothing fancy 22x16. Pre-treated wood, one set of stairs, approximately 4. one side would be higher off the ground, approximately 6 feet so it would have to be supported, but the other side would be approximately 2-3 feet high because of the slope in my land.
My question is: what should I expect to pay? I have just received an estimate of $7500! is that normal??
I guess I'm just a bit sticker shocked, I was expecting more like $5,000. I know I'll need a permit.
