Default Job in Mamaroneck - Where to Live?

I'm a 22 year old recent college graduate with a job in Mamaroneck making about ~50k and was wondering what you guys think would be the best place to live. Ideally, it would be a location with a sizable younger population and some kind of nightlife. Easy access to NYC would also be a plus, but isn't a requirement. Thanks in advance.

I think White Plains is your best bet. Tons of bars and restaurants, close to where you work and an easy train ride into NYC. Good Luck!

Best bet by far, White Plains.

Two "out of the box" ideas:

1) Stamford, CT - Lower taxes with just as nice nightlife and equally easy train ride into NYC. Mamaroneck is close enough on I-95 that traffic won't make a big difference

2) Fleetwood section of Mt. Vernon - Shortest train ride to NYC, a lot of young people and some bars/nightlife right in the neighborhood (though not as many as WP or Stamford). Hutch Parkway has traffic, but again, Mamaroneck is not too far up the highway.

Good luck!

I'd say it'd depend where you'd want to live WP is a good choice but that stretch of mamaroneck avenue by the metro north in Mamaroneck has a decent mixed crowd of young-old. Plus recently the nightlife has greatly improved over there, its a real chilled out area plus you have access to harbor island which is a great park.

I'm in the same age range as you and from WP so i'm a little biased, I don't really do the bar thing and I think the nightlife kinda blows but to each their own.
