I Know That Westchester Community Is Diversed. But Being Non- Practicing Jewish From Nyc, I Would Like To Double Check. Will My Kids Be Comfortable In Lewisboro-katonah Schools?

Absolutely. Katonah-Lewisboro has a pretty strong Jewish population - I'd say at least 25-30% Jewish, if not more, the remainder being mostly Catholic/Christian. We are not very racially diverse however, compared to other Westchester districts.

Yorktown has a pretty large Jewish population. I have no idea what the overall percentage is, but in my immediate area (Huntersville), I'd guesstimate that 1/3 is Jewish. In my son's classes at French Hill (grades K-2) I'd say about 25% of the kids have been. I'm not practicing, but there are a number of synagogues around town (as well as Bloom's Kosher Deli in Yorktown Heights). I do not know of any area that has a particular concentration of Jews. So, if being in a specifically Jewish area is important to you, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. But if you just want to be sure that it won't be an issue for you or your kids, then don't worry about it.
