Mamaroneck school district questions (day care, school districts, to live)

I'm researching the district and would appreciate help on the following questions. I tried calling the school offices, but no answer. Not sure if that's because the schools aren't in yet....

(Not sure if it matters, but we might be move to an area what would be zoned for Central School)

(1) Does Mamaroneck provide school bus? How does it work? For example, do you need to live a certain distance away to get the bus?

(2) What kind of after school care programs does the district provide? In my research in other school districts, I found some school districts provide reasonably priced services at the school, but others required you to sign up with off site facilities that basically cost like another day care.

Also, would like to hear about the town recreational facilities... I understand there is a pool (indoor and outdoor), a skating rink, and a beach.

If you can wait...try calling the school after Labor Day.

Busing is tricky. At least in the area where I live (not Mamaroneck), a bus is provided if your child lives a certain distance from the school. Many areas have no busing at all. I asked about my address in particular.

I was able to speak to someone at the school.
They don't have school buses and you need to arrange for after school care with one of these two places. One is called KEEPS and the other is called Children's corner. The cost seemed reasonable.
