Default Croton-on-Hudson Special Education

Does anyone has experience with services available without much hassle in the school system in Croton-on-Hudson? My family is considering a move there (we just relocated to NYC area from IL and are researching places in Westchester to settle down). Both my school-aged sons have varying needs. My 1st grader has some mild attention and reading issues but my Kindergarten is on the autism spectrum, although he is extremely high-functioning with no verbal or cognitive delays. He's is in a mainstream classroom with support- mostly social. Any advice anyone has would be appreciated!

I have frends in Croton who actually had a hard time getting services. Our kids have similar needs and we compare notes, and their experience geting the needed support has been more difficult than ours. They ended up paying for private therapy (OT). That said, if there is one thing I've learned it is that when it comes to schools and teachers, never take any one or two experiences as gospel. Mod cut: no competing sites, per TOS.
