Default dobbs ferry as place to move

Hello,

I have written on the Connecticut forum as we planned to move to Fairfield, CT. A fairly long commute to Manhattan, plus a recent health concern of my wife, has us considering lower Westchester County towns.

We are a family of 5 (kids 12,10 and 8), and we have lived in New Zealand for 4 years, after living in Brooklyn, NY for before that. Dobbs Ferry seems to have a good school system, good mix of people, defined downtown, close to public transportation (my wife hates to drive), not too precious feel to it. Some of the taxes are in the manageable bracket for us, and we figure if the school system is good, it could be worth the extra in the taxes.

My wife is going to be in the area as of June 6th, health allowing, and so any comments or suggestions very welcome. Especially as so few of the threads include DF.

Thank you.
