I have the option of moving to Tarrytown and would be keen to hear peoples view on the area.
Going to be commuting to my office near Grand Central so the train is a big draw and the village looks like it has a nice few restaurants and all the essentials.
Keen to hear peoples views and advice on things to watch out for and if this is a safe place to live?
I have looked at a house on Hudson Street which while backing onto the railway is a quick 10 minute walk to the station. But keen to here what this part of the town is like in case I find something better, there are some nice townhouses on River Street but they look a little out of my price range! :-(
Tarrytown is a good place. Never knew anyone who lived in that specific area. Are those the brand new town home they built by the park? Those look really nice and its fenced in last time I looked, so I couldn't imagine any problems in that area. Only thing to worry about would be sleepy hollow on the other side of the bridge, but I doubt you really have anything to worry about.
It might be a little cold being so close to the hudson, so I hope you got a place facing the south. Other than that, I hope you enjoy the town, it has a lot to offer. You'll have a nice view for 4th of July, while I'll be with the crowd on the bridge :/

Thanks for the reply.
Sleepy Hollow not nice then? Why should I worry about it?
