We are looking at homes in the Cortlandt Manor area (Henrick Hudson school district). We're currently in Bergen County, NJ in an "elite" district that is a high pressure, on-the-go town. We're more laid back, but want good schools and a nice place to live. I visited the elementary schools and was really pleased. Can anyone tell me the overall "feel" of the town? I'll have a 2nd and 5th grader this Fall - will the kids at school readily accept new students? What about the parents- are they involved in the schools, but not overly so? Are the people down to earth for the most part? What about sports programs? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
