Hi there,
I'm from Cleveland. I'm looking for info about Franklin, NC. Is it a suburb? What's the nearest city? Is it diverse?
Thanks for any useful help

It's not in the Triangle area. It's in Western North Carolina.

Here is a Wikipedia entry: Franklin, North Carolina - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It has just a few more people than our subdivision.

Some people confuse Franklin County with the town of Franklin. They are vastly different and many miles apart. I moved to the town of Franklin in the mountains of Western NC about 11 years ago. If it is the town you are asking about then I can give you complete info.

Franklin, NC is a town of approximately 3,000 people, in western North Carolina. It is the county seat of Macon County - a rural county of about 30,000 people. It's located in a gorgeous part of western NC, and much of the county is Nantahala Forest. It is definitely mountainous.

Nearest cities: Atlanta, GA, Asheville, NC. Nearest large towns would be Waynesville, NC on the way to Asheville, and Gainesville, GA on the way to Atlanta. You can also get to Greenville, SC but that's further away than Asheville or Atlanta.

Is it diverse? Depends upon what you mean by diverse. It is mostly white, Christian.

The county is not a terribly poor county but there are very few jobs and the main industry is tourism, with its accompanying low paying jobs.

What else do you want to know about Franklin? Is this the Franklin you were thinking of?
