Thanks for the info. Can you provide a general description of where the quarry and fly ash plants are located? Sounds like the potential problems may be limited to only parts of the Fletcher area, and it would be helpful to know if other nearby residential areas are also affected. No place is perfect, but it would be nice to avoid known issues.

The ash problem was in the subdivision adjacent to the ash storage lagoons. It was reported in the ACT last year. The stuff was all over houses, cars, streets, plants, etc. Residents were up in arms because coal ash is rich in toxic trace metals and they were justifiably concerned for the safety of their kids and pets.
