Default Fletcher brake plant to add 100 workers

Auto parts maker Continental Teves plans to add 100 workers at its brake-calipher plant in Fletcher, increasing employment there to about 430. It will add about 10-15 jobs a month. The company says the expansion is driven by the growth of the global car market.

Sunny,
You bring good news here. Unfortunately, that will leave out all older workers (50+) but work is work. Thanks for the post.

Rosz: Huh? "Is it worth relocating from SC to there?" Do you mean here in Asheville? If so, don't bother unless you're really good in the medical field, have a job here already, or can retire here.

hubby works for the morganton location but says they haven't really ramped up yet in Asheville. They pay the temp workers at his plant $10/hr. He has no clues about pay in Fletcher. Decent company to work for as an office worker.

Why do you say that they will leave out those 50+ ? are they only looking for a young crew ?
