Default Community Colleges

I am interested in working at community college in W.NC. I am in possession of an MA in Education and an MA in English and a BA in Gov't and Politics. Moreover, I have previous secondary teaching experience. Thus far, I have found it rather difficult in acquiring for jobs as an out of state applicant, and many positions were filled earlier in the year. Moreover, many jobs are on a part time basis which would not provide an adequate income. Perhaps there is someone on the thread board that could provide me with some ideas or guidance concerning this matter. I would be qualified for postions in English (comp and/or lit), Humanities, Liberal Studies and Education.

Jobs
Has nothing to do with your being out-of-state. If there are no positions available, there will be nothing posted. You must complete the application as stated and send all supporting documents that are requested. You'd be amazed at what people send. Good luck!

Thanks!!

I am still looking, but I'm happy that the fact that I am from outside of the state is essentially irrelevant. When you responded by saying that I would be amazed at what some people send, I must admit that I was indeed surprised. I suppose that you were referring to the fact that many of them did not meet the minimum qualifications for a particular position. At any rate, I will continue to persevere in my quest for an position, and I very much appreciate your response. Good luck to you also and God Bless!
