In a nutshell, Murphy doesn't have the charm of other towns, in my opinion.

Probably February or March - April at the very latest. Haven't secured a place yet, but working on it.

Will have to get serious by January.

You'll be here in time for the White Squirrel Festival.

I may dress like a white squirrel every single day, just to give people something to talk about.

Everyone would think it would be a wonderful idea and encourage you to do it all the time. Brevard is very proud of the white squirrels. And the Steep Canyon Rangers.

They are disgustingly cute. I saw a white squirrel Christmas ornament that I want.

You live in Brevard, don't you? How do you like it?

I do lots of hiking. Downtown is great. We have great access to local food, meat as well as veggies. Woody Platt and John Felty just took over booking shows at the Porter Center so we should have better shows this year. The restaurants are good, people have been amazingly friendly. I haven't experienced any of the local/newcomer problems. Some people who move here are very distainful and disrepectful of local people. The upcoming County Commission is going to be pretty much Tea Party. There are too many empty stores downtown, but that's a sign of the times
I guess. That being said I spend way too much time on the road to Asheville. People tell me that will slow down the longer I am here. People seem pretty accepting. Hope you like it.
