Just moved to Banner Elk from Morganton, NC and we have had a difficult time finding a church that feels like home. We have attended non-denominational and Assembly of God churches previously and are looking for a church home with lively praise and worship (the hand-clapping worship of people who are excited to be at church), a congregation that is active and involved (not just showing up on Sunday to socialize), anointed biblical preaching and teaching, and a congregation with (at least some) youth attendance. Our children range from ages 7-17.
We've been visiting local churches and it's not been very promising. Perhaps we're just not looking in the right direction! Any help would be much much much appreciated!!!
Appreciate your help. I saw that thread, but Boone is quite a trek, especially in the winter months. I was hoping someone might know of a church here in Banner Elk....or at least in Avery County.
