Ashe County is Jefferson/West Jefferson, Watauga County is Boone, Blowing Rock and part of Banner Elk, and Grayson is in southern VA in the vicinity of White Top and Grayson Highlands State Park in the Cherokee Natl. Forest, Galax and Independence, VA

(It's all caps because it comes directly from the NWS . . . they like to shout!)

Dateline Asheville: got up to about 3" of wet snow. Friend that lives in Swannanoa says they have 5" on their deck. Another friend that lives much higher near Barnardsville, a few flurries.

The over night warning was only for elevations above 3500 feet. I'm about 2500 feed, Swannanoa, 2200 feet, friend in Barnardsville, 3200?
