If you do go to Zuma's Coffee House, be sure and arrive early, as it's hard to find an available seat after 6:00 p.m. and Bobby doesn't even start fiddlin' 'til around 6:30 or later.
You're correct, listening to Bobby sure does "inspire" one, though.

You got some great pickers in your state Jim....did you ever go to the fiddler fest in Mt. Airy? i think it's Mt. Airy, though it could be across the border in VA! lol

really? I thought they were always on friday nites..... used to go to those long time ago.. .they were good... people picked out in the parking lot too, who weren't on stage.. it was fun..
did you ever hear that song, blue eyed jane, i think it is... sort of morbid song about a murder, but quite interesting and good melody...
and what's that song about a girl being murder by her beau out towards Knoxville way? There's a lot of interesting words to some of the bluegrass songs.
I wish they'd have a bluegrass stations across the country. It's one of fave types of music. Fun to pick to also... great fun...

They still have the Friday night jams - or rather, more of an open mic night. If we are talking about the same group. The jam I go to is from 2-4 on Sundays at the Mountain Gateway museum near downtown Old Fort. It's mostly bluegrass and traditional. We have a lot of fun. A similar jam has started on Tuesday nights at Eye Scream Icescream (or something like that) in Swannanoa. I haven't been to that one yet but my Sunday afternoon friends have and they seem to enjoy it.
