Why did Tiger not come to NC, but made the announcement from SC?

The name of the area it will be located in has never been mentioned, by word, or in print.. Do the elite rich have a problem with the name of the community, Swannanoa?

How soon will there be a move to change the name of the area to something that rolls off the tongue of the elite rich easier, as is that case with the renaming of Enka community on the other side of Asheville, which the rich elitists have renamed Biltmore Lake?

I venture that most of you that are not from this area cannot pronounce Swannanoa correctly, and we certainly can't have the elite rich coming to a place they can't pronounce.

The headquarters of the developer, Cliffs Communities, is located in Traveler's Rest, SC. The announcement was made from there.

A good bit of the development will be in Fairview. It may be confusing and misleading to use Swannanoa in news articles when the development will be in two towns.

The Cliffs at High Carolina. Surely they can be more original than that. Part of me wants to make a joke about all the marijuana smoke drifting up the valley from Asheville. Yeah, that was bad. Go ahead and boo

I'd also like to point out another Arnold Palmer designed golf course that is being built in Polk County: White Oak, Tryon. It's being endorsed by Padraig Harrington, winner of the 2007 British Open, who chose to make White Oak his home while playing in North America.

Western North Carolina is getting some big names in golf.

I saw an article the other day that said that the Arnold Palmer golf community near Hendersonville has building lots that start at 300K and townhomes at 900K. I guess I won't be moving there.

HA. High Carolina refers to the Rehab center in Black Mountain down the road.
