does any of you have 12 month pass ?

we went there once 3 years ago and it was a very nice tour, especially the gardens.

we are considering buying one of those 12 month passes. does anybody know the bike trails ? is it worth it, since there are a couple of nice trails around here.
the 12 month pass for just the estate and gardens is 260 (130 per adult, kids free), including the bike trails it's 300 a year. do they ever have a sale on those ?

I think it's nice to go there 3,4 times a year at least, especially to see the gardens change. do they offer anything special for christmas ?
I just hope we GO there then 3,4 times a year

Christmas is beautiful at Biltmore. But not so sure any need to jump into passes until you are certain how much you would use. Lots of BRP for free.

riding bikes on the BRP ... I am not sure if I would take my kids there yet. cars pass by pretty fast ...
Will have to check out the arboretum, as far as I read they have nice bike trails too.

We keep the annual passes. We go out several times a year because Mrs. Mule is into macro photography of flowers and that is on our dogs' circuit of walking trails. In fact, we took them out there this morning.

I'd say we go to the gardens probably four or five times a year, walk the dogs out there probably another six or eight times, go out there to eat two or three times and "escort" visitors once or twice a year.

Getting a discount on tickets for guests and a discount on anything we buy out there is nice but it doesn't alter the equation much.

and you can bring the dogs to the gardens and all the outdoors, but not inside the estate, right ?

You'd be better off getting a year pass to the arboretum if you are looking for bike trails. There is also the bent creek experiemental forest that connects to it for even more trails.

Biltmore gets frustrating during busy times and we never thought it was worth the money especially because they have the nerve to charge you MORE to use the grounds. IMO it should be the same price or they should offer a trails only pass.

I've got a pass and I'm out of state haha. I got it a few weeks after I went in November...they sent me an email for the pass for only $25, so for me it made sense and I've been like 3 times since then with various friends and family that had never been. I plan on renewing.

I think it is 10 or 15-percent normally, but right now it is $20/ticket off. They have various deals throughout the year, some worthwhile, some not.

I've never seen dogs at the gardens so I can't say for sure about that. But they are welcome pretty much anywhere on the estate grounds. We drive back to Antler Hill Village and take the path back towards the ponds and along the river.

We also have yearly passes to the arboretum and use those much more for dog walking. I think we take the beasts out there once or twice a week on average.

I work for Biltmore and handle ticketing and TMPs on a daily basis. Let me put it this way -- if you plan on visiting more than once a year, it's worth it, because by the time you've paid for your admission twice, you'll have paid more than you'd have paid to purchase a single daytime ticket and an upgrade to a TMP.

Children ages 16 and younger get in for free with a passholder. If you're bringing guests, they get $20 off of the price for a regular daytime ticket, and that's a benefit that's available year-round. So at the moment, a regular daytime ticket costs $55. If you were a passholder right now and you were to bring a guest with you, they would only pay $35.

But here's how to go about getting a TMP if you're interested -- you can purchase your daytime ticket at least seven days in advance, which will save you $10 during the month of September. That makes your ticket $45 rather than $55. When you come to visit the Estate, you can stop by the Reservation and Ticket Center and have them upgrade your daytime ticket to a twelve month pass for $40, which means you'll have paid a total of $85 for your TMP. They normally go for a total of $129, if you were to purchase one outright.

You also get discounts at the restaurants and shops, not to mention the option to come onto the Estate every day of the year.

I know I sound like a commercial, but I just thought I'd give you the facts, haha.
