It was insanely windy here in Leicester yesterday and very cool. I noticed it was 10° cooler out here where I live than in Asheville while I was out running errands. I'm rather excited about the chance of flurries tonight. I love winter and snow so any that I see is a bonus. We had a couple of inches in my old town in SC last winter but that is super rare. Prior to that, I'd lived in MD for 6 years and had a couple of really good blizzards while living there. I know I won't see that here often (if ever) but even a bit of snow now and then is better than no snow!
Personally, I like using Ray's Weather for the High Country of NC. And for Sugar's conditions, I always use Sugar's own web site, including their web cams.
I always like to use Ray's weather forecast as well. I like to also go to skisoutheast.com they have an updated blog every morning and links to all the southern and mid atlantic ski resorts!
ps, This holiday weekend looks to be epic on all the WNC ski resorts thanks to the storm that came through last week!
