Hello, I am looking to go to one of the ski resorts near Asheville the week of Thanksgiving (weather permitting the places can open). My question is in regards to the driving conditions on the roads around these resorts (Cataloochee/Wolf Laurel). I would like to drive my car (I am coming from out of state) as it is cheaper on gas but if the roads are bad then my 4-wheel drive truck would be my pick. So how are the roads around Asheville in late November? Are the roads usually snowy around the Thanksgiving holiday should I bring my truck or would I be safe with my car?
id say your safe with your car.....we rarely have much snow in November from what i can remember.....if we do it is only a little and does not last long at all....
