I'm holding on to hope. I've always heard that they are extremely secretive about their scouting, and they usually don't make announcements until they're practically breaking ground. So I choose to believe that they have secret plans to come to Asheville.

Maybe if there was one close by I could go to on a regular basis the "oh this is so great" would wear off. Greenville SC is about 90 min. from my house.

Yes, the Naples FL TJ Joint is opening sometime late this year or, early next...

Since I do a lot of the shopping, I will check it out to see what the Kool Aid effect really is. ;>)

But, there are a plethora of decent grocery joints here in greater Naples, FL area: Publix on 'every corner', Sweetbay, Aldi, Fresh Mkts, et al. So, the competition is stiff.

I'm still hoping I live long enough to see something more than Ingles, back in Waynesville...

PS: Collier County's pop is ~320,000 plus another third of a million rolling through seasonally. Add in Lee County to the north, with ~600,000 plus huge seasonal influx, and this area is an exponentially larger demographic for TJ's, compared to 'Asheville area'. And, this new TJ is the first one in SW FLA...

If we do get one in Asheville, I hope it doesn't end up in the Skyland/Arden area. I rarely go to the south side of town for anything.
