I have friends in asheville, and they all work either in the artisan community, the private school (the asheville school), UNC - asheville, warren wilson college or are realtors. They all ended up there for different reasons (only one was originally from there), and they have all been there for years. PM me if you want additional information.....I would be happy to get you in touch with my friends there.

Leigh

I am a single white female with no children. I have 2 dogs, I currently live in Michigan, looking for a place to start fresh. I am currently on disability, but my past occupation was in the health care industry. Seeking a place that is quite and safe with a friendly atmosphere, also inexpensive. Can you help me?

good luck on finding a place that will a) allow you to keep your dogs and b) will be in your price range in a decent neighborhood. Trailers under 10K are going to be just that - a trailer under 10K (catch my drift). It's been my experience that most rentals run in the 800-1000 range for a decent house or duplex in a good neighborhood. Also, finding what you're looking for in Asheville city limits is going to be even harder. I'm not trying to discourage you but, you may have better luck in Haywood County or McDowell County finding somethig in that price range.
