Default Forest City nc

We are thinking of moving to the Forest City area of North Carolina. I would love to hear pros and cons about this area. We live in a small town in Catskills mtns. of New York. I am an avid cyclist and wonder how flat or mountainous the roads are in the area.

Rutherford County is one of those transition counties. Part of the county is in the Piedmont Region, while part is in the Mountain Region. The highest elevation is around 4,000 feet, while Forest City is around 1,000 feet.

Hi,
I live in Forest City. A little bit of everything here. Hills, mountains, and a little flat here and there. Great place, IMHO. Employment is a little iffy, but getting better. The people are great. Lots of new people the last couple of years. What made you decide on Forest City? Rutherford County has a lot to offer. You get out what you put in. If I can be of any help to you, let me know.

Well we have family in Apex NC. My wife is tired of the winters here and we are looking for a winter home. Just did some searching and Forest City seemed to have a nice school district, climate and a town similiar to ours. I cannot tell you why but for some reason while researching places your town just had a nice feel. We checked on homes for sale in the area and they are in our price range. It is very tuff though because not knowing streets, places to watch out for (or like up here the building of new power lines)just talking with someone like yourself is wonderful. I would love to ask you more questions if you don't mind. Thanks again
